This works good if you dont have the thermal sleeve on your camelback tube. I have been backpacking for the last 9 months using the bladder for my internal frame backpack. I ordered one of these so the tube wouldnt be flopping all over the place. Had to take off the thermal sleeve as it doesnt really want to fit with it on, but not a big deal. It works well enough.

Camelbak Tube Trap
This tube trap only works with ¾" straps, so if you have a military Camelbak, like the Thermobak 3L, then almost all of the straps are 1" with the exception of the sternum strap. This Tube Trap WILL work with tubes that have insulation covers contrary to what a previous reviewer stated. It works fine with my Thermobak except I can only clip the trap onto the sternum strap.
In my opinion, Camelbak does not provide a clean/consistent way of routing the tube on each of its packs. They essentially leave the user to his or her own imagination to figure out a way to secure the tube. I don't like this approach, because I paid quite a hefty sum of money for this pack and don't want to hodge podge together Velcro/paracord/grimlocks to secure the tube when it should have been engineered by the manufacturer.
That said, the Tube Trap is well made and easy to use. Just make sure you measure your straps because it only works on ¾" straps. It'd be nice if Camelbak figured out how to keep all of their strap sizes consistent, or sell a 1" Tube Trap for the military packs.

this a a great five star product, it holds your tube nicely and is easy to attach and use, HOWEVER! , the price is unfair. if you can buy this product localy buy it. many sites offer this product for as low as $2.00, so if you add it to a larger order thats the way to go. $4, $5 and $6 shipping is over the edge. this item could be put in a small envelope and shipped for a dollar or two. another reason camelbak should include the tube trap with hydros. i give it five stars because it is a great product and does what it is supposes to do and does it well. also if any seller is going to offer this product so the total of product and shipping is going to be five or six or seven dollars the tube trap should come in a two pack.
